Let's disappear into the night
Find a place to be alone.
Share our most private thoughts
Of 'wild oats' we may have sown.
Let's sit in the grass upon a hill
And watch the sun come up.
Share a lingering kiss an intimate touch
Drink champagne from a paper cup.
Time so swiftly flies on by
Precious moments soon will pass.
See the sun's bright orange orb?
The day has come too fast!

The First Man in my Life
I watch you from the window
Across the field as you go.
Ever cautious, with your steps,
Now walking very slow.
I am filled with memories
How quickly years have past us by.
You used to pick me up,
When I'd stumble down and cry.
Now there are grandchildren
Who come to visit you.
You always have a smile
And are proud of all they do.
You are a special person
A most wonderful loving man.
I walk out in that field,
And I take my Father's hand.
I have an idea, and it could be fun,
Let's play in the rain, before this day is done.
It's raining I know, and we will get wet,
It could be such fun, on this you can bet.
Spending time together is what we will do
Giving me time to express how I Love You.
When we come back in a hot shower we'll take,
Dash off to bed and sweet love we will make!
I quietly walk into the room
I love to watch you sleep.
Your skin so soft and rosy
Fine lashes upon your cheeks.
I bathe in the afterglow of your touch
Of you I can not get enough.
The sheets are tangled around your legs
These are evidence of our making love.
These precious moments I cherish
You're peaceful, quiet and still.
Our lives are always so hectic,
Having this time is such a thrill.
Soon you will have to leave me
Because to me you do not belong.
For a while I'll go on without you
Kiss me softly and I'll remain strong.
You're playing silly games again
You're messing with my heart.
I don't know how to handle this
The endings and the starts.
I sit at home, all alone
Just waiting for a sign.
Possibly you will return
And things will work out fine.
Love should leave me happy,
Making life worth living.
Yet,you're the one receiving,
And I'm the one who's giving.
I hope that you'll be happy
Though I think it's quite a shame.
You could be missing the Love of your life,
While you play your silly games.
The other day the sun was out and I decided to work in my garden.
I was out there alone, pulling the weeds, preparing the ground for new plants.
Suddenly, I heard a small rustling in the grass. (I was afraid it might be a mouse.) Out stepped this tiny little creature. It was only 4" tall and all dressed in a green leaf-like suit. Needless to say, I was terrified and thought that my eyes were playing tricks on me.
I wiggled back a bit and cautiously stared at it! Quite unexpectantly, it looked up at me and said,
"Hi there, I've been waiting for you to come back."
"What on earth do you mean? And by the way, who are you? And, what ar

You could be missing the Love of your life,
While you play your silly games.
No matter how you lived it
Rather right or wrong.
This year will soon be over
Each day is past, then gone.
How many did you meet
How many came your way
Were you a friend to all
Did anyone care to stay.
Was there a special someone
Did you share your heart?
Or was there a break up
That tore your love apart?
A new year will begin again
It is time to make a vow.
Be kind, feel love, enjoy your life,
Make new friends starting now.
If love should find its way
Back into your heart.
Clear a space, take a sigh,
Let happiness make a start!
The miles have come between us
And at this time we are so far apart
There were lands that needed your service
Yet I hold your love deep in my heart.
Those who are called must go
Though they leave so many behind.
We continue to love and pray for them
Hoping a safe return they will find.
How fortunate we are as a country
To have such fine women and men.
Never do they hesitate to serve
Protecting us again and again.
I will continue to be patient
Answering your letters with a smile
Knowing you soon will return to me
From your a land 'across the miles'.
Pain and worry, struggle and strife
The news says the economy will fall.
How can we take time to live and survive,
To have a good life through it all?
My puppies are still happy when I come home
The birds are still singing their songs.
Late night comedians still make my laugh,
Can't the news mongers leave us alone?
This is the season that's filled with love.
Every face on the street has a smile.
Gift giving is up and the weather is great
Though I'm sure there are a few in denile.
Carroling is heard on neighborhood streets
Ice skaters are having fun in the park.
Children stay up way past bed time
Whispering to each other in the
Just sitting back and listening to music,
Writing a poem or maybe a letter
Taking a walk with one of my dogs
Enjoying the sunshine and the crisp winter weather.
Making hot chocolate and adding some whip cream
Calling up friends just to say hi!
Sitting all curled up in my favorite chair
Watching an old movie that might make me cry.
Reading old letters from a past lover
They may make me laugh in a sordid way.
This is so perfect, it's just what I needed
I've planned for myself this Lazy Day!
Will you be my Christmas Present?
I'd love to take you home.
We'd listen to beautiful music
Or perhaps make some of our own!
Will you be my Christmas Present?
I have added you to my list.
Maybe I'd better tell you,
I take very good care of my gifts!
Will you be my Christmas Present?
I'll wrap you up with a red bow.
Then I'll bundle you in a parka
And we'll play all day in the snow.
Will you be my Christmas Present?
I simply have to confess--
I really love you very much,
And I'm hoping that you'll say YES!

Drowning Romantic Sorrows
Empty bottles on the counter tell a story
Struggling men stare through glazed eyes
The ache of love is drowned out by whiskey
It's hard to live when romance dies
One poorly thought out move blows it all to hell
But every man will make mistakes
Is a bond so deep really that easy to break
It's hard to tell real women from fakes
Frustrated fists wish to hold someone close
Each scarred heart wants to love for real
But in this cold world it's so hard to find
Far too many are too scared to feel
So in dimly lit bars men hug the counter
In every glass the past is reflected
Every once in a while a strong man will break
While drowning so
As the sun goes down they start to weep
Their affliction starts anew
Beneath dark skies angels lose sleep
These blessed souls are the cursed few
When they slow down thoughts begin to race
They've stockpiled thoughts in their heads
Only time can help slow down the pace
They wait it out in their beds
But their goal is always just out of reach
As they wait they start to wonder
Each distracting thought acts like a leech
They just don't have time to slumber
These fatigued angels might fall apart
Exhaustion makes life rough
Sometimes their friends may lack a heart
Pushing through it all is tough
All they want to do is get some rest
Twisted words hold good intentions
They save me from myself
Beautiful lies sooth growing tensions
False closure saves my health
You've got my best interests in mind
Its true without a doubt
You're sly and know I am not blind
Someday I may find out
But sometimes things are worth the risk
The truth would make things worse
In life its often hit or miss
My pain would be your curse
Because you care I make it through
You make sure I don't stumble
The sun looks bright when life is blue
Without you I would crumble
Deceptive lips keep my mind stable
Sweet lies disguise whats true
I'll handle things when I am able
I'm just fine thank

You're An Irritating Temptress
I don't understand why you think I'd let you in
After all you're the devil in disguise
I'm not interested in the fake wheels you spin
You won't fool me with your sweet lies
You're a loose hinged trap who doesn't let go
A smooth vixen who gets in my head
And you'd probably get me if I didn't know
But the signs say there's danger ahead
I want you to move on yet I want you to stay
You're a temptress who grabs with her eyes
Yet if you stick around my caution could decay
After all you've been known to surprise
Why must you vex me daily with your foolish advances
As a guy you're not easy to ignore
You know it isn't likely but you stil
When the world is crumbling down around me
I shall flee to the one place I am safe
Hidden away in your arms I am untouchable
With you on my side I cannot be brought down
Behind every great man is someone they love
Though I may never be great I am loved
Delusional fools march across the world searching
Desperately looking for something they've overlooked
Love is the simple thing they search for
But they don't understand it's complex simplicity
They don't have that strong tower to run to
I am not one of them and you are my escape
An escape from a chaotic world that beats me down
The ray of sunshine that warms my heart with a smile

I Strangle Snow Men
Joints caked with spider webs and arthritis. His earwax had the sense to shield his mind from cotton-spiked sound waves. Frostbite; a constant side-effect.
I could repeat it with ice-sculpture syllables, but darling, you're always so slow. I have not the time, and it's already begun to snow.
Look outside. Slush angels feign beauty.
Crystalized spinal-fluid swimming amongst slouched vertebrae. Winter-vicious piranha nibbling at my stubborn-sure back bone. Devoured, but oh how I loved the teeth of December.
I used to build snow men, but you said : "It's only playing God," And then I stopped,

Plenty of rain still around. However, the snow is gone and everything is beginning to look promising.
I really love Spring. Perhaps it will help me become more creative.
Been going through a dry spell.
Hope you all love the change of the seasons as much as I do!

Too much ice and cold weather. We are 16 degrees here with 1 degree with windchill.

Not fit for man or beast. Brrrrrr :thumb186882801:
